Vinyasa
Breath as thread, asana as form
Deeply rooted in the Ashtanga Yoga lineage, our signature Newburgh Yoga Shala Vinyasa is a practice of moving meditation. Here, the breath serves as the thread, mindfully weaving each asana into a seamless, rhythmic flow.
Each session is structured to provide a balanced and rigorous experience, moving through a gentle warm-up into the heat of Sun Salutations, standing and seated postures, backbends, and inversions. We close the journey with deep final relaxation ensuring you leave the Shala feeling both rejuvenated and firmly centered.
Ashtanga Inspired
Learn more →Drawing from the Primary and Intermediate series of Ashtanga Yoga, this is a structured yet accessible morning practice. We move through Sun Salutations, standing and seated postures, backbends, and finishing postures, closing with Pranayama.
Black Lotus Inspired
Learn more →Created by Ty Landrum and rooted in the balance of apanic and pranic energies, Black Lotus invites exploration of the breath and the body's internal architecture. A creative flow of balances, lunges, twists, and backbends — playful yet focused.
Jivamukti

Yin
Learn more →Long-held floor-based postures that bypass the muscles and target the deeper connective tissues — fascia, ligaments, and joints. Drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine to stimulate meridian pathways, Yin cultivates stillness, physical release, and equanimity. The ideal complement to any active practice.
