What does yoga mean to you?
Yoga leads me in all that I do. What was once an activity, centered only around asana, transformed into an essential component of my everyday life.
What drew you to the Shala and why did you stick around?
My friend, Dia, insisted I come to the Shala knowing I would love the practice. I love NYS because asana is always coupled with education, philosophy, chanting, and pranayama. As students we learn to be introspective both on and off the mat-it is truly a well rounded practice.
What's one piece of advice you'd give someone new to yoga?
Stick around until it means more to you than just the physical.
What's a fun random fact about you?
Every week, I eat my body weight in pasta.
