Attend classes at Newburgh Yoga Shala regularly
Attend all scheduled meetings in person or livestream
Complete all written homework and required reading
INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM :
Only for students attending all 3 modules
Three 1-on-1 mentorship sessions (one per module) with a senior teacher to explore something in particular: subjects of interest, practice teaching, review sequences, learn chants, develop a teaching voice, etc…

Personal research project
PERSONAL RESEARCH PROJECT:
The research project will culminate in a final presentation along with an asana class (only for those seeking to teach). Examples of research project topics:
How yoga impacts the body (physical, subtle, nervous system, brain..)
The relationship between yoga and social justice
Yoga philosophy or history
Sequencing and assisting
Co-teaching classes, workshops, and retreats
An exploration of specific classical texts
